Beatrice Clegg received her MA in classical literature and languages from the University of Exeter, UK in 2017. Alongside her postgraduate studies she began teaching Latin and Ancient Greek to undergraduates and developed a keen interest in language teaching. She then moved to Shenzhen to teach English and joined SUSTech in the summer of 2020. Her research and teaching interests include Chinese Englishes, cross-cultural communication, sociolinguistics, and historical linguistics.
