Samuel Whitaker joined SUSTech in 2022 as an instructor on the SUSTech English I course. After receiving his MA from the University of Sheffield, he began teaching in China in 2019, working first in Beijing at the China Agricultural University before taking up a position at the College of Science and Technology in Zhuhai. In these roles he has taught a range of courses, including IELTS, academic writing, creative writing, and presentation skills. His research and teaching interests include the effective application of technology in language learning, as well as critical thinking in academic writing.
