Anthony has lived, worked and studied in China for more than 13 years. In 2008 he studied Mandarin Chinese and marine biology at Huaihai Institute of Technology (now named Jiangsu Ocean University). He then studied advanced Chinese at Peking University and later, earned an M.A. in Chinese Philosophy, Religion and Culture from Renmin University of China. He has taught students of all ages from Kindergarten to university and enjoys seeing the progress and growth of his students in whatever subject(s) they are studying.
Research Interests:
Chinese philosophies- Human Nature: Righteousness and Benevolence, Concepts of “Goodness, Neutrality and Evil” between Mencius, Gaozi and Xunzi, sociology of Chinese religions, rural China, sociocultural interactions between migrant workers and big cities, Chinese human migration patterns, English language acquisition amongst students from rural areas at university.
