Scientific papers are more likely to be published in high-impact journals if written in clear and convincing scientific English. The first half of the course examines paper structure, looking at the typical purpose, form, and contents of each part of a scientific paper, as well as ideas about use of tense and voice in each section. The second half of the course covers points of paragraph construction, sentence emphasis, grammar, style, and word choice to aid clear, logical, and properly emphasised scientific writing.
